HG 1/144 Lfrith — Pre-Production Witch from Mercury MS

The Lfrith is a fascinating kit — the prototype design that seeded the Aerial Gundam's technology. Its asymmetric bit striker configuration and pure white armor make it stand out even among other WFM kits.

HG Lfrith: Suletta's Mother's Mobile Suit

The HG Lfrith (2022) is the prototype mobile suit from Witch from Mercury — Elnora Samaya / Lady Prospera's earlier Gundam, the predecessor to the Aerial. The Lfrith appears in the show's prologue and represents the GUND-ARM project's earliest production model.

For WFM fans, the Lfrith is essential as the historical context for the Aerial. Without it, the WFM display tells only the Suletta-era story.

The Pre-Aerial Aesthetic

The Lfrith's design is more 'experimental prototype' than the Aerial's 'refined production model.' Visible mechanical detail, less polished panel breaks, a slightly bulkier silhouette. The HG captures this distinguishing aesthetic.

The face has a different expression than the Aerial — more aggressive, with sharper visor cuts.

The Beam Rifle & Shield

The Lfrith carries a standard beam rifle and a smaller shield (no GUND-bit system — that's Aerial-era technology). The kit includes both as standard accessories.

Color Scheme

Dark green body with red and gold accents. Distinctive among WFM kits — the Aerial uses bright white and blue, the Lfrith uses muted green and red. The two figures display together with strong visual contrast.

The Trio

For complete WFM prologue/main display: HG Lfrith (prototype), HG Aerial (Suletta's main suit), HG Aerial Rebuild (Suletta's evolved suit). Three kits, ¥4,500-5,000 total. Tells the full story across two generations.

Articulation & Build

2022-era HG articulation. Modern engineering. Quick build (~3 hours). Easy to recommend as part of a WFM collection.

✔ Pros

  • +Unique asymmetric design
  • +Clean white armor
  • +Good WFM articulation
  • +Interesting lore connection

✖ Cons

  • Less well-known design
  • Bit strikers limited
  • Stickers needed for details
  • Some asymmetry looks unfinished
